To Our Partners and Future Partners:
As a 501c3 nonprofit organization PASS relies on a coalition of organizational partners to support use of its tools and resources and communicate our vision and mission. Our community of school safety advocates work daily to meet the needs of schools around the country and are key partners in this effort.
As we move into 2021 and release the 5th edition of our PASS Guidelines and Checklist tools, we want to sincerely thank our PASS Partners for their incredible support. Your support has been instrumental in helping PASS become recognized as national leader in providing a complete “all-hazards" approach to enhancing school safety and security.
Over the past year, together, we have been able to accomplish much. We have completed the process of incorporating PASS as a 501c3 organization. We have reached thousands of school safety advocates including school administrators, school boards, and public safety and security professionals (including over 4,000 downloads of the previous edition of the Guidelines). We have been recognized and referenced by safe school organizations like the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) website SchoolSafety.gov, the Department of Justice’s Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS) and, the National School Board Association’s (NSBA) Center for School Safety, to name just a few. We have continued to provide leadership and direction by publishing white papers on subjects including the role of lockdown drills, classroom security measures, temperature screening technology and more. We have established a cross-functional Advisory Council of school safety stakeholders and are developing a new training program PASS Partner organizations. The list goes on.
As a newly formed 501c3, we are asking for your continued support as we move forward and take our efforts to new levels. Please contact us to request the PASS Partner Program Brochure explaining our PASS Partner subscription program and learn how we can mutually support each other’s efforts in 2021 and beyond.
We have accomplished much, but there is much left to do. We look forward to continuing our relationship and efforts in providing schools with the resources they need to navigate the complexity of enhancing the safety and security of their environments.
We want you to share our mission to make schools safer. You can do so by joining the PASS Partner Program. To learn more, contact me at mwilliams@passK12.org.
